This individual asked me if I knew this person he gave me a name, I asked him who he was and where he was calling from. He said his name which I could not understand; I asked him to repeat his name said his name again but could not understand it. When I answer his question that if I knew the person he mentioned, my replied to him was NO, that I did not know the person, he started telling me that I was a liar that I did know this person, so after telling him what I felt about that call and my regards I just hang up. He called again and I sent him to hell.
The people from this company called about an ex-co-worker of mine and if they are a collection agency they are breaking all the laws. Their first statement should be this is a collection agency and we are collecting information to collect a debt. I spoke with them and all they were talking about was something about criminal fraud and my name was used as a reference by this person they were looking for and threaten me with legal action if I did not call them right away.Everyone sounded like they had an accent because they hung up on me and I called them back.But to let them know collection laws are out there and you don't call and threaten people.Whoever is running this place better check the law books before you call people it needs to be shut down or someone will have a lawsuit with them.
Just got a call from 610-619-6021. Left a message. My wife called back because the message said they have all my banking information and SSN. She talked to a Stanley Wilson and advised I was hearing impaired so he'd have to talk to her. He wanted me to give him permission to do so,I did but asked where he was calling from and he said Pennsylvania,I said then talk to my wife. (His accent was so thick you could cut it with a knife.) He and my wife got in a shouting match and he threatened to turn the matter over to county authorities. Whoop ti do,I'm not even a resident of Pennsylvania! He said the matter was for a payday loan not repaid. Advance Cash. Never heard of them and I don't do payday loans. She told him his information is false and don't call back ever. I'm signing up for Identity Guard,not taking any chances with I.D. theft.
the same thing is happening to me. this is ridiculous. something has to be done to these people. this is not right. i do not owe these people anything and they have all my private information!
