One of the MANY companies that call for donations for some organization, usually one NOT AT ALL qualifying as a legitimate charity though the name(s) will be something like, "The People's Fund," "Rebecca's Closet and Free Clinic," etc.
Do yourself a favor and don't get involved. When you donate through one of these outfits, your "charitable" donation is NOT tax deductible and the bulk of your donation is going to support companies such as this plus the non-qualifying "charity".
If you care to donate, please give directly to an organization, church, charitable walk/marathon, etc. that you can look up via the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org) or other similar websites, Such sites will give you a decent idea of how your hard earned money will be utilized. And, you know you can obtain a receipt for your legitimate charitable donation.
