They call claiming to just want to do a quick survey, when in reality they offer a "free" trial publication which is not free at all. They say you can cancel before the 30 days are up. How ever the number only goes to VM, email messages bounce back and then you get sent a bill for $299.00. If you don't pay said bill, they then go to all levels off collection claiming they never received notice of cancellation.
Never say "yes" on any type of unsolicited phone call, keep all records of attempts to cancel and always file with ripoffreport, bbb, consumer reports, leave complaint s here, google, yelp, whocallsme, everywhere.
A guy called from this number from Progressive and asked to talk to the IT Manager. I told him he would need to give the contact name in order for me to transfer his call. He was very rude and pushy. I explained that it was our company policy, and he hung up before I could finish. It's too bad he was so rude and hung up on me, I would have offered the email address to send his information to. Being rude won't get you anywhere in business, and he will realize this really soon!
Call the corporate office after-hours (800 220 5000), navigate the company directory to get to the voice mails of management and others (Tom Breakert, Thomas Schubert, Mike Gorton, Nikki Schimmel, Jen Ford, Lea Cotton) and leave messages stating that you want Progressive Business Publications to stop calling - you want ALL of their satellite call centers to stop calling and you want the calls to stop for every single publication.
