Same here and when I called Leigh Sherriff's department, they have no record of it...all Investigator Michelle Williams would tell me was she it was a case filed by Equity Financial and she worked for Halligan and Associates.
I hung up before she could even identify herself. Once she said her offices had obtain my record for blah blah blah, I knew it was yet another scam. I typically don't answer random numbers, but my husband is traveling with his boss, who is from PA, so I thought it could be him. I get calls like these all the time and they are for some delinquent payday loans, which I do not have. And if I did, they would not be calling me to threaten to serve me. I would either receive something in the mail concerning the delinquency or I would be served in person. I hate these scams because I know that they probably do scare people into paying them. But, as many as I have gotten over the past few months, I'm still here and haven't paid a dime.
