lagertol...it WAS Chester County, PA 911 center calling back. The reason they didn't show up at your house is because you accidentally dialed from you cell phone. We don't get your address if you call from a cell...only if you call from your home phone. If you dial 911 from a cell, we call back to make sure everything is okay. 9 times out of 10 it's an accident. The best thing to do if you ever dial 911 by mistake (either from your cell or home) is to STAY ON THE LINE and explain it was a mistake. If you call from a cell, that'll be the end of it. If you call from your home phone they you'll have to verifly the billing address and phone number. If you do that, no officer will be sent out. If you call from your home and hang up right away, a cop is coming out no matter what.
SAW THIS NUMBER ON MY CELL PHONE (WHICH I DIDN'T ANSWER) THEN GOOGLED IT AND FOUND THIS POST. MY PHONE WAS IN MY PURSE IN KEYBOARD LOCK MODE. AFTER READING THIS POST I CHECKED MY 'DIALED CALLS' LOG AND ITS RIGHT - SAYS I DIALED EMERGENCY SERVICES. PEOPLE, CHECK YOUR "DIALED NUMBER' LOG. STILL DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE MY KEYPAD WAS LOCKED. DID THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE WITH A LOCKED KEYPAD?
I found a missed call in school on my cellphone and returned it. They claimed to be 911, but I looked back in my all calls and I had not called anyone who was not in my contacts for months. Also I do not even live in PA so why would I have connected to an out-of-state emergency line?
