Guy call on a Sunday afternoon (7/3/03 @ 3:53) saying he was calling for some association for "Narcotics Police" and wanted a donation. Told him I was unemployed and he insisted that they will take any donation. Told him again that I was unemployed and hung up. Noticed that they had called earlier in the week when my wife I were away. I am on the "No Call" list. It hasn't been working too well lately. This isn't the only calls we have been getting.
I received this call 4 times yesterday (610-750-8838). The 3rd time I actually picked up and she asked for my husband. I said he was not available and asked if I could help when she said not she would call back. I told her if she was a telemarketer, we were not accepting those calls and hung up. At 10pm after we were in bed, the phone woke us up again...SAME NUMBER!!! I registered AGAIN with the do not call list this morning.
I called my daughter yesterday and she asked where I was calling from...610-750-8838 showed on her caller ID. I was home!! I think it might be the number of the security call box to be let into the apartments....I tried calling the number and I got a recording saying because of a network problem I needed to try the call later???
Even the phone companies care to do nothing because they are the ones re-subing the services for this bs to go on. The only way to handle this type of call is to scream as load as you can down the line and hang up and if u want to be civil then ask a question with a question. Other alternatives are brp down the line or possibly fart lol
