Called today asking for me by first & last name, before acknowledging I am who they asked for I asked who was calling. The woman refused to identify herself or the company she was calling for but stated it's regarding an emergency appointment I requested for December...funny since I never requested such a thing and if there's an emergency why would I request to be seen a month from now? When I said I'd take a message & have the call returned again, refused name, company & phone number. Fishy!
The same as Mina; A lady called asking for me by name, not knowing the number or the area code she was calling me from I hung up and of course googled the number. :) She sounded like Mary Poppins, although I did not stay on the phone long enough to find out what she wanted.
I just got a call from this person, just like others have posted, it was a woman, sort of sounded like she was british or something. Asked for me by name, being now 2 IN THE MORNING I thought it was about someone being sick or in the hospital. So I answered. She asked for me, and I asked what it was in regards to and she was telling me that she was calling to tell me that someone had filed a law suit against me and that if I don't pay it now over the phone that I could be arrested tomorrow. I said a law suit for what? and why you calling at 2 in the morning? She said that it didn't matter what matters is that if I provide a credit card number or some sort of paypal account to send off this payment I would not face legal charges. I said that this is the biggest load of bull I've ever heard and immediately hung up. WTF is this number?? If I was being sued by someone for some unknown reason, I'm sure I would have heard about it and not have to make a f'ing payment over the phone by credit card or paypal. And if anything they wouldn't call me a little after 2 in the morning! Got me worked up now I can't sleep! Worst scam I've heard yet!
The number only brings me to this site and no company.
