The phone # that came with my check is from Toronto Canada, a cell phone #. 1-647-219-8970 . Daniel Morgan was trying to sell a Car with the same phone # in Toronto Canada. I took my check and Congratulations letter to the bank. They sent it to their Fraud department.
OMG-- I received the same thing...Lindbergh Securities Service. Check for 3.980.00 from Middlesex Savings Bank. The check is for my mom whom passed away years ago...SMH
Same amount of $3980. Lindbergh Securities Service in London. Same phone number. The check is issued Capital One Bank. The agent's name is McGregor Wells, with Rhonda Lee as the Promotion Manager. This is a typical con-artist technic, keeping a common name just changing it a little. Unfortunate there is no return address on the envelope. It is a scam.
I received the same thing.....look at the actual figures versus the words on the check..they will be different. This is how the check cannot cash and they can get through the loophole. The scam artists hung up on me when I called.
I received the same correspondence today. Mine was from Eureka Securities Services with a check in the amount of $3980. I was advised to contact McGregor Wells at this number. The letter was sent by Rhonda Lee (Promortion Manager). I checked the web and found www.eurekasecurities.com. They've obviously done their leg-work. This appears to be a legitimate and impressive website. I've always thought if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!
My letter was virtually identical with the usual variations. It was the Eureka Securities Services, Contact McGregor wells, Manager was Rhonda Lee, call 289-889-0324. The amount won was 250,000 and the check was for 3,980.00. In the words of the immortal Daffy Duck..... "What a bunch of Maroons".....
Well, I don't have dummy written on my forehead. Didn't waste my time calling or trying to xcash the check.... Especially seeing how many other variants of this scheme are listed heree...
