I got an automated robo call on my cell phone this evening saying that I had won a $999 credit with Westjet. Although I had flown Westjet recently, I hung up on the call because it sounded way too good to be true.  Further research indicates that this is indeed a scam coming from an off shore call centre.  Westjet is aware of the scam, however they say that law enforcement in the country where the calls are coming from has not been helpful in putting an end to the scam.  Follow the link below to see what Westjet has to say about these calls.
