Same thing here, this number called me at 1:53 PM, no one spoke, no breathing, no sounds nothing. They hung up when our answering machine picked up. The sheer fact that someone else reported it tells me that they're possibly up to no good. The only possible info I found Googling for this number is either a Telus mobile number or someone calling from Malton, ON. Neither could be true.
I received a call from them at 11:06 a.m. this morning. The weird thing was that at 11:06, I got a call from 416-920-1563 and it was a long distance ring. As I was holding the phone (deciding if I wanted to answer it), the long distance ring became a local ring and the screen switched to THIS number (647-333-4579). My phone shows both calls came in at 11:06, neither left a VM. When I Googled the numbers, the first one has been reported as a scam, and Voilà, here we are discussing the 2nd suspicious number! BTW, 647 area code is not local for me so no clue what was happening with the call display/ring tones. Maybe they have a computer program that masks/disguises their number? Or perhaps it was indeed two separate calls a fraction apart, but I'm convinced now they're up to no good or selling something. :)
