Just called back again, 5 minutes after the first call. I played all nice, and said I want to use your services but I can't talk right now as I am at work. Can I call back after I leave? He said he will call me back. I said that will not be possible since I will be going home and my office phone will be turned off. He said he will call me at home as he has all my information! WHAT? I tried not to laugh and I told him that he does not have my information, as he has called my work office and there are 12 people here who all have different personal information. He assured me he has my info and hung up! LOL!
Way to go buddy. What if I really did want to use their services? Idiots.
If you attempt to call back, all you get is the number is not in service.... I really wanted to have some fun.... next time they call, ask them how can you help them and then after they spew their crap twist it back upon them asking the same questions they do but talk to yourself making it look like you are talking to someone in the background, and say give me something to clean up all this blood, there is so much of it here...and on the wall..... then ask... sorry i was distracted, how can I hellp you.....and wait to see what they do... most likely hang up and never call again.....lol...
Got a call from this number about lowering interest rates. He mentioned Visa and Mastercard, then asked for exp date of card. I told him that much, then he asked for the customer service number on the card to ensure I had the card in my hand. When he came back, he knew it was President's Choice card (easy to look that up with cust. service number from the card) and asked for the last 8 digits of my card. THIS IS A SCAM! It happened to me already once and my CC company cancelled the card and issued a new one, but told me I would have been responsible for charges since I had given out the info.
NO ONE WHO IS CALLING YOU SHOULD HAVE TO CONFIRM WHO YOU ARE!
The caller's name was Mark. He said he would lower the interest rate on my credit card if I told him the expiration date. He didn't know what credit card I had so I knew it was a scam.
I just got a call from them and I just simply hung-up. I have gotten calls like that in the past from random numbers asking me to press "1" - I never bother with stuff like this. It's always smarter to just hang-up don't waste your time pressing numbers and having them hang-up on you. It's the same when I get random emails from people telling me I am supposed to get some money, usually in the millions or whatever; just delete those emails as well.
Look, we can do whatever we want and put ourselves on any list, but these losers get our information somehow that's why it's best NOT to sign-up for too many things etc or to participate in random stuff. I know it's annoying and disgusting but that's the best suggestion I can offer.
