Wanted to come and look at our furnace to see if we qualify for government to replace our furnace to high efficiency. Husband spoke to them and can't remember if company name was given. We obviously said NO! and asked to be taken off call list
Said he was from Eco energy and was going to be on our street...told him this was clearly a scam and to take me off list...he said it was most certainly not and hadn't I heard of the government programs offering to pay for part of cost of upgrading to new furnaces ... I said yes, the ones that ended several years ago ... He hung up.
Here comes the furnace scam after water heater. I got a guy came to my door and asked for this. Now I got this call. We didn't know the number so didn't answer. Another one blocked.
Claims they would be in the neighbourhood with ID to inspect furnace and water heater. Lied about being with Ontario power authority. When you call back you get Hello? BEWARE
