This number has called 9 times in 2 days. I work like everyone else n not home. When they called on a Saturday,the person didn't speak and then asked for some Rick guy. When I said they don't live here stop calling....she got rude n said he was n get him. I then told them I'm calling the police I've had it with the harassment...they said go ahead. And started calling Monday again.
This F-in number has called my home phone so many times I can't take it anymore. I'm a very ill person and don't need nor want anymore b.s. because it's driving me insane. How do we shut these ignorant people down? They call way to often and enough is enough.
Since the same number is calling, and you know it is a scam, why not block it? Your phone carrier sometimes will offer call blocking for no extra cost. If you have been talking to these crooks, or calling that number back, you will increase number of calls you get.
There are legal steps you can take, maybe bring a TCPA suit. You will need to trick the scammer into giving you an actual PHYSICAL location of the callers and of the people who are operating the scam. You will need to get some names as well. This is not so easy to do, not impossible, but not easy. That means you will have to be willing to talk to scammers, and then do the research you need to verify your info. If you know the name the scammers are using, you might find some info on this site to get you started. The legal process does take some time, and some money for the filings. If you win the suit, that is nice, but it is unlikely you will be able to shut the scammer down. There is a lot of info about the process you can find on the internets.
You may want to get some info on the scammers and then talk to your local and state DA who may take steps against the scammer.
My 2 cent advice would be to block the calls for now. Get yourself a break in the calls and then figure out what other steps you can take.
