Don't fall for the person on the other end. The say they aree from Windows Security Department and are calling about your computer. There is no Windows Security Department. Also some of these calls I have received state they are from Microsoft security department and my computer is causing problems with there servers. Microsoft will not call you about a problem with your computer. Don't fall for the scam. DON'T GIVE OUT ANY FINATIONAL INFORMATION.
Huge scam, and I almost fell for it (can't believe I did) - they actually got on my computer remotely to show me all of these "errors", and then wanted $296 to fix it. Said they work for Microsoft - they don't - and are very, very convincing. HUGE SCAM! Reporting them to the FCC as well.
