call from a push man saying he was with Canadian police services and wanted donations for education on bullying when asked if he would mail information and I would go to the local detachment to make a donation he became upset and said never mind and hung up
Call from a man who wanted me to donate to an anti bullying campaign. I told him there are too many telephone scams going on and I wasn't going to give my info over the line but thought it was a good cause so could he please send me the info in the mail. He said they didn't waste resources to do that. Then I asked if I could go to my local police department to donate and he said they aren't set up to take the donations. This sounds like a very big scam to me so please beware
Same as above....a very pushy man claiming to call from CPA, Canadian Police Association regarding an Antibullying Campaign. Wanted me to make a donation over the phone today. I felt very uncomfortable and put on the spot....He would not accept my reasons for not donating over the phone and quickly ended our conversation.
Rec'd a call as described above. This man is, as said above, pushy and doesn't want to take no for an answer. I told him I don't donate without written information and would he please send something in the mail but this wasn't an option! He was quite upset at the end of the call. (as was I)!
