Call would not have actually been from CIBC - just some scammer / troll. Anyone can call and claim to be calling on behalf of any business, including using a recorded message to say so, doesn't mean it's true. No one from Microsoft will ever actually call you to offer to help fix your computer, but some people fall for this, and they keep the scammers in business.
This individual told me to F-off and to suck his c*@%. He said that he was calling on behalf of CIBC and the female voice on voice recording before it went to this individual spoke of reducing my credit card interest rate.
Called back and number was not in service.
