Take a deep breath and calm down. It was likely a robo-call so that's why you didn't hear anyone breathing. There is no need to be scared or to freak out nor a need to worry about your voice being recorded to scam anyone, big companies or otherwise. If at all possible, don't answer calls from numbers you don't know and don't call unknown numbers back if they don't leave a message. Better still, invest in a call blocker. Many of them are relatively inexpensive and can block entire area codes.
get these type of calls daily.. so tired of it now when I see number unknown or long distance ring now I ignore . They never leave message. If it was something pretaining to you thru Embridge or Direct Energy companies about the service to your furnace they would leave message for you to call them back.. wish they would just give up .. them and the scammers trying to get your computer info are daily callers .. time to get rid of our phone..
647-933-4541 called my cell number on April 11 for a second time. The location shown was Tauranga New Zealand. I did not answer & subsequently blocked the number after also not answering the second call.
