I got the same call, it was an answering machine and I called them back. They said they were CRA investigation unit and that I had committed intentional fraud and that I could do some jail time. That the RCMP were implicated and he asked if they tried to contact me. They asked for my lawyer's name and contact info and said they have an affidavit. They also said that they tried to deliver the affidavit to me on July 26-27-28 and there was no one home. I asked him which address they tried to deliver it to and he said that he doesn't have that on his screen. I told him it might be on the affidavit he said it wasn't. He then read the affidavit to me and said he will send it to my email (which I had to give him) never received it. He proceeded to ask if I was going to pay my debt and I said I have never had a debt or received a letter or a call regarding this. However if he sends me a bill in the mail that I will look into it deeper and pay the debt if owed. He then hung up on me.
