Called me at my work phone saying they needed to locate one of my family members for TD Canada Trust. They gave me this phone number to get them to call back. Her name was apparently Brenda, such a scam.
I had someone call me just now (Jan 4th 2013) and the lady knew my name and said her name was Lana and wanted me to call her. She didn't say what it was about or what company she works for. I'm guessing it's a scam of some sort.
Upon further inspection, this company is from Ontario called Iristel Inc, and is using VoIP to make phone calls to people from their computer/internet. Difinitely not legitimate.
PRIVATE CALLER - is rarely legitimate - This is scary as she used my first name in her message! wanted me to call her back and update my information with BMO (I don't have a BMO acct)
It's clearly a scam but they are getting better and are going to rip off someone who gets confused by their friendliness -- Alana you deserve to be in jail --
