Got a call from this number this morning. His name was Mathew and he said his company was "General Home Design". I asked for his California State Contractor's License and said it would be provided upon arrival of the sales person. He provided a website: www.generalhomedesign.com. That site provides a phone number to leave a message. I did. Mathew called me back forgetting that he had spoken with me today. A "whois" search for the owner of the website shows no information other than Go Daddy. That means they will only provide information if they are served a subpoena. Obviously this is a scam not to mention a set up for a home burglary or invasion. Tomorrow I contact the California State Contractor's Licensing Board. By the way, a check on the phone number shows that our friend Mathew is in San Mateo. I got him pretty riled up when I told him that I had a very good command of the English language so be very careful, I am listening very closely. His accent was not USA.
