I received a call from a person who identified herself as Paula Nicolas from "Google Concierge" . She claimed her "colleague" needed an interior designer (that's my business) and wanted to find a designer for this 'so called colleague'.
The phone number she left was 650 214-2610 which goes to a generic voice mail box with no name. I had a hunch this was a some sort of scam so I decided to also call 650 214-2600, 650 214-2601, 650 214-2602, 650 214-2603, (stopped there) and got the same voice mail message. It appears there is some sort of scam by some telemarketer associated with Google. Also, I have caller ID and the business name Google did show up on my phone.
I plan to contact a friend who works legitimately in the Adsense department at Google to report this.
So it appears that many phone numbers that many begin with 650 214-XXXX are involved in this telemarketing scam.
