Tech sos online is scam. I did not know them, did not subscribed or use their service.
tech sos is based in FL 1-855-675-8289, charged my phone bill for $49.95 per month
and listed in the phone bill as collect call.
Phone provider was confused until found out these are bogus fraud and identity-theft
from techsosonline.com, but could not do anything to stop it. I lost $$$ and that is bad
that no law can catch these criminals.
I live in Ottawa, Canada. A woman calls daily for the past 3 weeks from Tech SOS to "verify" our address. I said okay then, so she transfers me to some guy. He says the same thing. He's babbling on and I cut him off to say well verify it then. He then calls me rude. I said I get these stupid calls every day and I don't believe this is a legitimate business. He hangs up the phone.
The calls keep coming. I now just hang up as soon as they identify themselves.
I also am a Canadian Business and have received calls asking me to verify my address and they will continue with the support. The phone numbers vary. When I question them "what support" they go into some ramble at which point I hang up. Asking them to not call back is a waste of breath. Today I opened my phone bill to find an additional charge of $56.44. The phone # was 514-890-8808 and states it is collect person to person. After many calls I discovered this is from "TECHSOS". You can reach them at 1-855-675-8289 - well, for now. I left a message and a man called back and told me that a particular staff member ok'd the account. I explained to him that would never happen and I would like to hear the conversation he had with this employee. He put me on hold and when he came back he told me that he had verified that she had in fact agreed with the service. I told him that I needed to hear it or it was simply not the fact. He "listened" to it again, and then decided that perhaps she did not quite understand what this was about. I told him to credit the $56.44 back to my phone bill, to cancel this so-called account and to never call here again. He agreed to all the above.....I'll believe it when I see it!!! I should have received the confirmation e-mail of the canceled account by now, yet it has not arrived. I'd like to say I'm surprised. I will close now by saying that I am going to be calling my phone company and then the BBB and see what can be done so that this charge never appears on my phone bill again. BEWARE out there!!!!
I had this exact same scam happen to me here in Winnipeg, MB. I just want to know if you had success when you went to your phone company about this scam?!?

I had same issues and my telephone company thought it was HELLO PAGES.. but it wasn't.
Found out it be to TECH SOS who has been charging my phone bill.... $49.95
