Received a call from this number this morning.
Caller ID just said, "ST"
I let it go to my voice-mail, and the caller was a recorded message that said, "Don't Hang Up! Chronic Pain Association and the National Center for Chronic Pain Management has issued the following prescription pain pill alert! In an attempt to stop the use of ... (sales pitch for a 'pain relief cream') ... Press 1 now to arrange delivery. Press 5 to notify your insurance company that you have refused delivery."
What a crock! - I'd buy a case of it if rubbing it on my phone would make these scam operators stop calling me!

Got a call, from 650-277-2612, hung up after 4 rings (answering machine set to answer after 6 rings) thanks to 800notes it is now on my black list, this number never to be heard from again
This number rang in while I was out of the house and left no message. Thanks to other responders, I now have this number blacklisted on my computer. I use CallClerk answering machine software on a laptop computer (it worked fine on my old XP laptop that finally died and is great on my new Win8.1 laptop with an external modem). CallClerk includes a very nice call blocker that can use either blacklist or whitelist. I am thinking of going to the whitelist meaning that only callers you designate can get through. All others will be blocked. No I am not the author, programmer or dealer for CallClerk. Just a satisfied customer of this VERY versatile software. Google it!
