Called at 3:50 pm today, inadvertently left msg (thinking that we had picked up the phone), said her name & some organization really fast, (couldn't understand it - a fast talker), and wanted to speak to "any registered voters." (Then she said "Hello?...Hello?", thinking we had picked up. Thanks to all of you who reported the habits of this call source, I am blocking with no hesitation! (Yes, mine said "INTL JOHN" as the Caller Name, too.)
I received the call on my cellphone. I googled "ssi" and I found this website :

It is a legitimate survey company. If you scroll to the very bottom of the web page, you should see "Received a call from SSI?" this explains how to get your phone number off their list. I don't know if they really take your number off their list, but worth a try.
