I just received a call yesterday from a man named Eric Foster from some Law firm. I called him back and he said I was going to be arrested and loose my job. I have been torn up about this all night. But now I see it is all a HUGE SCAM. I would like to see these people put in jail for all their wrong doings, I never used the company the say I used. And this was first time ever getting a loan online.
I received the same phone call with the same message. I returned the call and after about 12 minutes, got disconnected. They claimed to have a law suit from US Cash Advance, whom I have never done business with. What exactly is the scam? I called my cell phone carrier and they didn't see any extra charges on my account yet. Does anyone suggest any action to be taken?
Claim they are "Hendstale Law Firm" with and address of 4333 Airport Blvd. San Mateo California, 90401. Received a phone call at my office today, and I do not give out my work number ever. They claimed I was being sued. They could not provide any information regargding the case. This is obviously an illegal scam.
i received a call from this same number and i actually made a payment to them. i feel soo foolish looking back at it but i was so afraid and i didn't even do any research before paying them. looking back on it none of it made any sense and now my fear is how were they able to obtain my information. The only thing i can think of is that i applied online for a payday loan but i was not approved and then i started receiving a lot of calls from odd numbers in regards to trying to get a pay day loan. If anyone else did this please let me know because I am trying to make the connection here. Also i checked my bank statement and the statement shows a Lalan Chicago call center and when i call the number it goes straight to a voice mail. I sure wish I had done my homework before paying these people.
