These scum bags will never stop calling. The "Do Not Call List" do not work. These callers are on "The We Don't Care " list. I never ever answer a call from numbers I do not know. Blocked AGAIN!
Got two calls a minute apart: 650-489-1068 & 650-489-1066. Look at the similarities; the law should be able to know what these scammers are doing and shut them down:(
They're obviously using the phone system in such a way that should give them away!
No one's trying to do anything; I have 100 calls blocked on my phone now.

The do not call list does work but for the legitimate telemarketers who abide by the guidelines and rules set forth by the agency. They also face hefty fines if found in violation. Since the inception of the registry, I have received only a couple of calls from legitimate telemarketers who thought they could beat the system. If the registry was not in effect, the amount of calls you would be receiving would be substantially higher than what you are receiving currently.
The calls we are always receiving are from scammers who do not care if there is a registry and are only out to trick and frighten people and get as much money as they can from them. Often they are located out of the country, in countries not covered by US jurisdiction. They employ technology to spoof their numbers so that tracing them is very difficult, if not impossible. They constantly change numbers, spoof numbers so that it appears they are calling from the US, when if fact, they are not.
The government is attempting to combat this problem, however the amount of scammers and the ways in which they change and spoof makes it difficult for a quick resolution.
