Like many other reports - I rec'd a message stating that I was going to be arrested and to call the number left back right away. Obviously this is a telemarketing ploy because the police defintely aren't going to let you know they are going to arrest beforer they show up.
This is a scam number that calls you and says you will be arrested and they will see you in courthouse, The Attorney general's office has been trying to catch them but so far have not, heavy middle eastern accent and if you call the number back you get a voicemail greeting saying it is a law firm, it is not! I've seen letters sent to people of the same form of scam!

Caller with a heavy Middle Eastern, said he was calling from John Hill Law Firm, that there was a complaint filed against me, I would be arrested at my place of work, and he would see me at the courthouse. He did not use my name. I called back to let them know I believed it was a mistake, but got a voicemail message (in the same voice that had called me) and I left a message. I included my phone number in the message, but not my name. I hope giving my number wasn't a mistake.
My co-worker got the same kind of voicemail on her cell phone, from John Hill Law firm, 650-492-5757, saying, "We have been informed that you will soon be arrested at your workplace, call us and we can help you. See you at the courthouse." What a bad, nasty scam that scares innocent people. Don't fall for it, don't call back and tell your friends to watch out.
