Recieved a call from this number telling me that I owed for $4,000 to the IRS for back taxes and interest, penalties. Told me that I would be arrested in 45 minutes. I thought this was fake and verified with with my city police department. This is a fraud phonecall, don't worry you will not be arrested. Just disregard what this person said. By the way, the person on the phone had an India accent.
I have recieved 3 calls today from this person. I did not answer so answering machine could record call. callers name is "Steve Martin" claiming to be from the united states treasury dept. with a so called second attempt of contact..Threatening call stating Federal legal action against me and I need to respond ASAP. As a business owner who owed IRS before nows their procedure and recognized that this is a fraud. Plus they do not use that area code at all. a search of this phone number say it is--- mendy surles, 7th ave, san mateo, california -- person may have also stole it from this person...who knows

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
