Not a number I know, so I'm assuming it's a fake, a spoof, a bad number (as reported by "Reporter"), chosen to make it look like it's in my area code. Will block it. At first it appeared that no msg was being left (as I monitor the incoming calls via an audible answering machine), though just as it was being cut off I heard "Hi...". This was after an unnatural pause (taking long enough that my machine decided there was no msg being left). So that (pause) would imply it was a recording and not a real person, or perhaps a real person coming online a little late due to multiple calls being made automatically, and they patch in to any call that gets picked up at the receiving end. Blocking anyway!
Just received a call from them, claimed to be working with PG&E. Started talking about solar power, asked if I spent more than $75 a month on electricity, and I told him yes (not true). Then he asked me to verify my address.... silence, and he doesn't give me an address to verify... then he asks again. I told him that's not verifying my address, that's just me giving him my address. He thanked me and hung up.
My guess is they're just looking for info to go along with the phone numbers they call so they can sell it. Don't bother picking up.
