This guy called me on MY IPAD. On Line2 which is an app which I purchased anonymously. What was most disturbing , as if getting a telemarketer call is. It disturbing enough, is that he called me by MY real name. Wtf?
He said he was in the neighborhood and wanted to know if I needed any work on my computer ? I said "What?", the se repeated himself rephrasing and asked if I wanted any IT work on my computers. I said how did you get this number and my name? And then he hung up. When I tried to call back from TEXTPLUS which is an app that allows you to make free calles from your iPad, it said that it was not a valid number. When I tried from Line2 which is another iPad app which allows you to call, I got a busy.
Man[?] said he was calling from a computer service co. & wanted to drop by our office to see if he could help us. Not sure it was a man, but whoever it was sounded kind of wasted & was hard to understand. I asked the name of his company several times & it was impossible to understand. Perhaps that was intentional...?
I had the same experience as Lisa... not sure if the caller was an effeminate man, or a woman who has smoked for decades. Tough to understand, definitely sounded wasted. Said the company was Network something, but again, I couldn't understand much. He asked if they could have a rep stop by to help with our computers. When I told him that we are not in need of a computer tech, he started to whine. So I hung up. Yikes!!
