Since this was a completely new number I gave it a call back.

"Thanks for calling.  The survey you were calling for is now finished."

I've doubtless just signed myself up for a continuous stream of new bogus calls from this and similar numbers.

Dear Russest, These people have been calling me for 2 yrs. I answered once.  The wanted money. They change numbers alot, What gives them away is the 650 area code.  Sometimes they come out of Modesto also........I have call blocker.  Well worth the investment.

Called two days ago. I let ring, not familiar, did not pick up.

Thanks for telling that. These bums have called a number of times I don't answer the phone. I'm an old man I have nothing, my son takes care of my bills, and he block the number.

Same as above--looks as if they are still at it in 2017.
