Caller with broken English said he was Mike and calling from Verizon and for $88 I could get ...... I asked for his phone # so I could call him back and he gave me 1-800-verizon. I insisted upon providing the number he called from and he hung up. This is a real scam.
Person gave name as Gopal Kumar pretending to be from verizon. I called verizon to verify and they said they would never call from a number like that. Definitely scam asking for social security over the phone. Do not trust. No offense to any good individual from India. There have been many scam going on from people with Indian accent like pretending to call from IRS. Please be careful everyone.
