Fake (spoofed) Caller ID. Autodialing you and beginning with a robocall (as these jerks do) is illegal.
So, go ahead and give these criminals your credit card numbers and balances, name, address, Social Security number, date of birth, etc. Let us know how that works out for you.
I thought the Federal Trade Commission had finally stopped these "people." Guess I was wrong.
I've been getting a lot of random calls lately from out of town area codes. Glad to know this is a scam. Did not answer or bother calling the number back.
Got a call on my cellphone today while I was in traffic. I answered it because I thought it was my business partner. I hung up immediately when they said account services. Would love to know how they got my cellphone #, I rarely give it out. I certainly never give it to any telemarketer.
I also got one ot two calls from this phone number (718/204-6553). It sounds like a "scam" to me. When you call that number back it just rings and rings--no one answers and no answering machine/voicemail takes your call.
Everybody, just call back scammers (POS) like this, ten (10) times a day or on your "auto redial", and overwhelm their phone line. IF anyone answers, then you can demand why they called you and give them a piece of your mind.
