This same guy just called me 'Alex', I have told him repeatedly we do not take solicitation calls at home. He is rude and persistent. Let's get this guy in trouble.
718-209-9182 Consumer Financial Services Caller ID New York has called me many times in the last 3 months. They always have an Asia India voice. It is a lead company for debt reduction service. They make money transfering your name to a dept reduction company, say $5-$10 per lead. If I ask for the companies address and website, they hang-up. They are most likely calling from India and a breaking the do not call list, but don't care. The dept reduction plans area bad, go to a comsumer site like CNN's Clark Howard or Dave Ramsey for information on dept reduction.
They or another lead company transfered me 3 times. Two wanted me to stop paying on my cards and put payments into another account. One was a total scam, wanted my ss#, bank account number, and two credit cards and he promioused me that he had deals with all the major banks to reduct my interest rates. Only and idiot would give out that information from a voice on the other end of the phone. Some leagal lawer sounding name in Florida.
They called me twice today and were VERY rude when I told him I was not interested in whatever he had to offer! When I tried to call back it told me the number was not in service.
They called me three times, even though I told him on the first called that "I'm on the no call list." He called me right back and asked why I hung up. SCAM!!
Just like everyone else is posting, he calls here 2 or 3 times a day. Sometimes he'll say something, sometimes he'll hang up. My daughter answered the phone today and he asked for me. She told him I wasn't available but she'd leave a message as to why he was calling. The line went silent, (but he didn't hang up yet,) and I picked up the other line and said "hello," he hung up. I'm just getting tired of this. He's not the only number that calls with so-called "debt relief services," but he's the one that keeps calling persistently. And like it's already been said, if you try to call the number back, the operator says it's a number that's not in service. There has to be something we can do to get these people in trouble, (or at least to stop calling us.) It's not only annoying, but just plain rude. You know something isn't right about a possible business venture when they won't leave you alone.
