These are annoying scammers from Russian community in Brooklyn, NY. Calling them back and asking to stop isn't working! Their excuse is COMPUTER does this. Where and how they got my number? I request to remove my number from their calling list, no change. Almost every day I got call and no sound on the other end... What is the purpose to call?
I have received more than a dozen calls from this number, including on weekends (one was a Saturday night at 9:30 p.m.). There is usually no one at the other end when I answer, but twice now when I have answered there has been a woman at the other end.
The first time she said in a heavily accented voice that she did not speak English well. I couldn't really make out what she was trying to say or whom she was looking for.
Today when they called again, another women said (in very broken English) that she worked for AT&T and was calling about my service - she asked for my name, location, phone number and company information. She also asked something along the lines of, "Do you use your phone to make international calls?" but her English was so poor that I couldn't really understand her question. I declined to answer any of her inquiries and she hung up on me. My company phone is through Verizon, so it is very obvious they are fishing for information.
After the first time I spoke with the woman and told them to stop calling, the calls did stop for about two weeks. Obviously beginning today, they have resumed again.
I'll also be sending a note to AT&T to let them know about this...
