I am receiving calls at my job from this number from a guy with a heavy middle eastern accent going by the name of Frank Martin. Interesting. I put him on hold and pretended to transfer him then came back and said that Christina was not available can I take a message and his response (each time) is "just tell her that Frank Martin called about a legal matter and to not disregard this call here is my number". They got a hold of my home and cell number somehow and started calling those. I would get back to back to back calls all hours. I told him I knew it was a scam and to send legal documentation and his response after he told me I was being sued was that he needed my lawyers info. I immediately said that if I was being sued then they need to subpoena me and that this could not be done via phone so until I saw legal documentation and a body handing it to me then screw off. I also told him that I did not have to lawyer up and that I was representing myself and he then said that I COULD NOT represent myself that I HAD to get a lawyer and that I HAD to give him the info he was asking for. FUNNY HUH? I told him he obviously doesnt know the United States law or how we do things here but I that if I wanted to I have the legal right to represent myself. All he kept saying was "no you dont". It then got to the point where he told me that if I didnt cooperate he was going to send the cops to my house. My bf got ahold of the phone and told them to eff off and to send the cops that we will be waiting outside in our driveway with drinks in our hands. "Frank" then resonded that there was no need for cursing and that this would be easier if we just gave him the name and number of our lawyer because we were being sued. My partner, thank god for him responded with "this is the United States of America and we know our rights obviously you dont so quit callin (several eff bombs were dropped)". Needless to say that after a short few calls back from this person and a couple more F bombs and threats from my partner they stopped calling. Guess I am one of the lucky few who was able to stop these calls. But ofcourse it took several threats from my partner as well as knowing the law as well as he does to make them stop. Its been 4 months and not one phone call.
