Who called from 7182605586

Same old thing, rang 4 times, left no message.

Got a call from a [***] telling me my computer has been hacked and they are getting alerts at Microsoft. he needed me to go into my settings which of course I didn't do, I asked his name and of course he hung up..worked thru the phone number ...718-260-5586...I remember a time oh about 25 years ago or less this didn't happen, glad to see the phone companys and US goverment are on top of things...Thank a Liberal

Just received a call from this number. Caller ID: NYC, College of. Was curious about that caller ID, so I answered the phone. The non-US accent of the man on the other end was so thick I almost didn't understand what he was saying. He claimed to be with "Microsoft tech." I didn't let him get further with his spiel. In no uncertain terms I told him to "cut it out, take our number of his calling list, and stop his scam." Then I hung up.

This is the first call I got from this number.  Didn't answer (never do!) and they didn't leave a message.  Thanks to those of you who posted what their scam is.  I'm always curious, but not curious enough to answer or call the number back!  lol

Hit 'Block Now' on my call blocker and that's it for that number.  Checked 800 Notes to verify that's it's a scammer.
