This number is on the caller id at work and says Payphone.
When you pick up there is very low static and nothing or no-one
on the line. They've called 5-10 times/day.
We're receiving calls from this number. Says it's a payphone. Voice
says, "Aman...then lists numbers in consecutive order up to 16." Then
voice quotes a charge. The highest amount so far is $174.55. Until I
receive my phone bill at the end of this month (June), I can't tell if
these charges are being put on my bill (according to AT&T). Calls come
at all hour of day and night--very annoying.
Calls continue but with a twist: the harrassing caller uses two numbers.
They are either 718-359-4458 or 718-591-8056. Calls come all during the day and night. If I pick up the receiver, there's a low FAX-like sound.
If I let it ring, a message is left (see my prior "call details" box
above). AT&T doesn't allow call block service for area codes outside of
my own. What is wrong with this picture?
