(347) 696-1138 was on my caller ID. Very similar crap as others describe: "My name is Sharon Norton, I am Investigation Officer with federal IRS, here at New York, my badge ID 7892127 ... This is recorded message... if you do not cooperate honestly we will send local police to arrest you in 48 hours and reposes your car, accounts, household items...." I replied that she is stocking me and I will get an attorney if charges are pressed. She threatened that this will only aggravate the case and I better cooperate right now.... tat was when I hung up on her. Calling back from a different number she did reply "IRS", so at this point I suspect it is a scam. I should report it to IRS ASAP, so they can deal with their imposters or guard dogs
I received the same call before from 347-491-3872 from Sharon Norton Badge ID 7892127 speaking about a CP2000 & CP11A Notice, blah blah. They stated they turned in the case over to the local police department and a warrant will be issued for my arrest. Upon some research, it has been confirmed it is a scam. I hope they are found & charged for such acts! GET A JOB 'SHARON NORTON' !!!!!
So I also got this 347-491-3872 and was threatened on voice mail with criminal charges-what is the purpose of this scam? do they ask for money or credit card numbers??
Just got of the phone with this scam. Kept catching them in lies. I caught on to their [***] and I am actually friends with an IRS agent and told them I will contact him after work. They didn't like that and hung up.
I just received the same phone call from her. The number is 347-430-5801. She said that the Homeland security agent involved this case too. :(
When I said I will contact through online or visit local IRS office, she threatened me that the local police officer will dispatch in order to arrest me.
