Greg Kirk called and claimed he was calling on behalf of Police Conference of New York. He said he was repesenting this nonprofit organization and asking for a donation. When I asked for his phone number because the person he asked for was out he became very agitated and rude and hung up. This seems suspicious!
The Police Conference of New York is a legitimate organization which is composed of over 200 local PBAs’ through the state and has a membership of over 20,000 police officers state wide. It’s a Police Union that relies on the aid of professional groups to help in its fundraising efforts. Great Organizations!
Many different Law Enforcement groups and organizations rely on professional companies to conduct their fundraisers for them, because they simply do not have the time, effort, or the expertise to do the fundraising themselves. Many groups such as the Police Conference of New York or PCNY rely on professional fundraisers to increase their call for support, reputation, and good will throughout their communities and for their constituents.
Police Conference of New York does great things with the money they generate from their fundraiser!
PCNY / Police Conference of New York is a legitimate organization which has been around since the 1920s and is the pre-eminent Police Union in the State of New York.
So on your say so, let's all donate money! Idiot. "Legitimate" can mean many things. Obviously nobody follows up on this organization because there are unlimited complaints about it and yet they keep calling. I will contact the Attorney General's office and others. I just received a confirmation of my pledge of $50 made from my home phone between PCNY and Ray. #1. My home phone does not work.
#2. There is no Ray at my home.
Legitimate? Maybe. But it's a legitimate ripoff and I will report them.
The solicitors for the Police Conference only donate 15 % of collect funds to the named charity.
Ask this question for any donation call to week out the frauds.
No answer or I do not know... Bad
Too low .. Bad
Too High... liars
So a number of you specifically go to bat for this organization and say it has been around since the 1920s and the do great work. So tell me, for every dollar a person gives, how much do the police actually get, and what specifically do the do. Your response is very vague. Be more specific please.
