reveived a call from an Indian accented person. He advised I had an opportunity to lower my interest rate on my Chase or Bank of america Card.
I asked how this was possible and what he was talking about-
I have neither!!!!!
He became very irate and beligerent with me and ended the call.
These things need to stop!
Leave people alone! Get a life and work a real job and earn a real paycheck like the rest of us and quit trying to steal!!!!
Heather called me and asked me to press 1 to talk to a representative, I did!
I next got "Pedro" and I kept him on the phone for 7 minutes and 24 seconds. This Pedro did not realize I was having fun with him or catch the sarcasm in my voice.
We went back and forth with his script he was following. Occasionally I would mention how I could make sure this was legit and secure. He was reassuring that they would never ask for "personal" information.
I even gave him a fake credit card number and wrote it down so I could repeat it back, my co-workers were rolling on the floor laughing listening to the call. Slyly, he asked me to confirm the entire number when previously he asked only for the last 12 digits for "security purposes". When the card did not go through he begin to ask more questions.
Well, after 7 minutes, I decided it was long enough and asked if he needed my employment information. I then told him I worked for the Green County Sheriff's Department. Things got really nasty when I told Pedro this, he got upset! He even commented that he was going to turn me over to law enforcement and had my complete phone number! Oh no!
This is the second call for this type of offer in the last 3 months, if I have the time, I will continue to waste their time.
