I have been receiving calls at least 7 times from this number just today and have told them repeatedly to take me off of their list. They keep saying they are Federal Office and that I am eligible for a grant of 7,000.
Recieving phone calls every hour even at 8 pm. Likr really? Claiming to be a government entity! Told them a couple of times to remove me or they would be reported on my behalf. Still they dont stop. Just put my number in the do not call registry and hoping it stops!
Registering with the Do Not Call registry will not stop callers like this. It only works with telemarketers selling goods or services that have registered for access in accordance with the law and purchased the portion of the list they need to screen numbers. Scammers do not obey laws and most running this scam are located in a foreign country beyond the reach of US Law Enforcement.
I have received 6 calls in 3 hours. They've left a few blank messages and don't say anything when I answer. Just registered my number with the National Do Not Call Registry.
I too received a call from 718-487-9947. The woman spoke barely any English. She sounded like a Mexican maybe. Strangely enticing yet filthy. She told me I was one of ten to receive a $7000 grant from the federal government. She instructed me to go to one of several locations one being Walgreens, the only location I could understand her saying. Her hypnotizing voice swayed my senses temporarily and I gave consideration to fulfill this hot tamales request. However my greater senses prevailed and I told her in no uncertain terms I could not be at Walgreens in 5 minutes. Her hot breathy voice full of longing and impatience urged me to get there there then in 30 minutes. I told her no! It would have to be tomorrow. She then described the chain of event that would enfold and lead me to my federal grant BIG PAY DAY! I was to go to the store and call her when I got there. She gave me an identification number to give to the clerk and I would get my mucho dinero from the federales. Awesome!!! Can't wait for tomorrow!!!!
