Some called this morning from 'The Senior Care' about who in the household is on Medicare. I was uncomfortable talking to anyone I don't know about this information and I told the caller so and she politely ended the call. I'm on the Do Not Call List, but it doesn't stop these people.
Medicare can't do anything about the calls, but if it is a medical supply place doing this and anyone does get billed if you report the billing as fraud to them, then they can go after them and stop all payments to them, which would hurt them the most. Otherwise it is up to the National Do Not Call list services since it is an unwanted and not asked for call soliciting you for something and if it is scammers, well that is nearly impossible. Sorry to say. Someone really needs to teach the government how to back hack these calls and they need to get the rights to go after them in the country they are calling from if it isn't here in the US.
They called on phone that is never answered!! Another example of Medicare fraud. You will not get Medicare to pay for anything without a doctor's order. You MIGHT get a wrist brace but you will have given a less than honest place all your Medicare information and they can come after you to pay for a non customized "brace". I'm going to report to Medicare, can't hurt may help. Don't give your Medicare number to anybody over the phone!!
