Received a call from this number by a man named Ben Cooper. He told me that he was U.S. Treasury and that I was under investigation for tax fraud. When I ask to speak to a supervisor he informed me that he was the supervisor. He wanted information about my lawyer. He spoke with a middle eastern accent and was hard to understand. He also sounded like he was in a tunnel and the phone kept cutting in and out. When I informed him I was sure he was a scam artist he told me that if I thought it was a scam a police office would be at my house the next day to arrest me.
I just got a call from this number claiming to be Dept of legal affairs. Told me to call back asap with my lawyer. Just blocked the number. Its bogus. Said he was Ben Cooper
Received a very difficult to understand message from this number. Seems to be on par with these other complaints about false us treasury claims. I will wait and see if anything official cones by nail but it seems to most likely be a scam.
