Turns out I own some ING funds and the call I got was about my stock proxy voting (which I had neglected to do). So, in my case, this was a legit call. With CID spoofing, you just never know.
Call may be legitimate, however, I have received calls from them before that were questionable. The company the caller said she worked for is legitimate (D.F. King), they apparently solicit proxy votes for ING funds. On a previous call I told her I did not do stuff like this on the phone and requested she mail the information. Never received it. If you have anything like an IRA or other retirement fund, it may invest in ING and it may be legitimate. Then again......
I got a call from them today. no message. called back and it was ING funds. They said it was a mistake, and put my number on the do not call list. Hope that's the end of it!
