Same as the others have reported. Calls with no messages...it is Fidelity and they now OWE ME MONEY !!! When I have answered, I have asked them to NOT CALL ME ANYMORE !!! I am charged PER CALL/ PER MINUTE for incoming calls. I want these calls to STOP IMMEDIATELY !! I will pull all of my Fidelity investments if these calls continue.
Have been getting calls where no one is there when I answer, also callers who don't leave messages. It's annoying. Almost more annoying than when a telemarketer actually answers. Today I *69'd and got 718-559-4093. I called this number back and someone answered. I asked them to remove my number from their calling list. He said he would (I'm not sure I believe it). I took the man's name. If my name is not removed and I receive more calls I will step up my complaint.
same problem as reported by others. multiple calls leaving no message. It turns out it is Fidelity outsourcing outbound calls to a vendor and that vendor uses a system that calls all the numbers and route the call to a person only when somebody picks up the phone. There is no way to get out of the caling list as they are NOT doing telemarketing but following up on proxy votes. I am taking this to Fidelity management (including a copy of all the posts here) and if calls do not stop I will report it to the local district attorney although not much can be done.
Same as others; got a call that I picked up on; slight delay, then someone comes on saying they're so-and-so and they're from Fidelity something-or-other. Something to do with the proxy vote for a fund I'm invested in.
I cut in and said I don't take telemarketing calls and they should remove my name from their call list. As I pulled the phone away from my ear, I heard him say "But it's not a telemarketing c..." and I then hung up. *69'd the # and Googled it to find this site.
Do they *really* think people who are investing in one of their funds via a 401(k) care about voting for the proxy vote? I throw those damn things away; I sure as hell don't want to be called on the phone in the evening to be reminded about something I'm never going to vote on!
I got back from vacation and as flipped through all the missed calls. I noticed there were too many missed calls from this number without any message. The caller ID only said Fidelity.
I tried calling the number and and got an office is closed message from DF King. Yes they do specialize in financial communications/security holder solicitations by contacting shareholders. It is certainly annoying. There should be some "out" from this.
