I received two text messages saying, "Congratulations, your number made you Walmarts winner of the day! Goto http://www.walmart.com.wonacontest.com to claim your prize! You have 24 hours to claim." When I typed in the web address, I was only linked to sited such as this that lead me to believe this was not legit.
Just got the text message like above, "Congratulations, your number made you Walmart's winner of the day! Goto http://www.walmart.com.wonacontest.com to claim your prize! You have 24 hours to claim."
Didn't even check the site, could tell from the extra 'wonacontest.com' not being after a / and having its own .com that it wasn't legit, not to mention I never put my cell number on anything they could have obtained.
Received a call from 718-724-3874 called about winner of the day and that i have 24 hrs to claim and to go to http://walmart.com.wonacontest. There is something that has to be done about this scam, here is another number that showed up on a text 917-769-1958
