I had a message left on my answering machine stating a lady by the name of Lesley Owens which had a heavy accent and stating there is a judgement against my name. I tried to call the number back but it just rang and rang.. These scams need to stop!!
A lady name leslie owens called with a heavy accent from the department of legal affairs. This appears to be a voice recording. I picked up the phone and said hello and she was still leaving a message with a different number than what showed up on the caller id. This is a scam so don't be alarmed.
Received a robo call from a heavily accented woman with alarming news. Apparently I need legal representation to take care of a legal matter I had no clue about. How likely is that? How likely is it that they would conveniently forget to mention who they represent? They don't even have the name of who they're trying to reach! It's almost as if they're hoping someone, anyone will call them back and fall for their little fishing expedition. You would think if you're really calling millions of Americans from some unknown company in NY about an unknown legal matter that can apply to anyone and everyone you would at least pick someone without a thick accent from one of the countries known for their scamming skills and instead hire someone with an American accent to read your script.
i got this message:
"Hi this is Leslie Owen with the Dept of Legal Affairs trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a verbal notification for you in regards to the enforcement action that has been started against your name. My number is 718-734-1473. I repeat my number is 718-734-1473. If for any reason you are busy to call back, I would suggest you to have you retain an attorney to do it for you as delaying calling us would end up a legal mess for you. I hope you take this right and call me right back. This is Leslie Owen from the Dept of Legal Affairs looking forward to speak to you. Until then have a good day and God Bless." The calller ID shows Gregory Conyers 718-758-6408.

Leslie Owens contacted my elderly mother who lives in another state stating she was from the Department of Affairs and that ther was a legal issue against her. Thank goodness my mother called me and let me know. I called the number 718-734-1473 and got a recording of an Indian female stating that they were not available and please leave a message.
