Got a call from this number - caller ID said "pay phone" - and yet they had the nerve to say in a middle eastern accent that they were Microsoft and my computer......At that point, I told him I had the number and was reporting it for fraud. He gave a company name that he muttered unintelligibly - hung up. Fraud!!!!
Hi from Australia. They are back here now..I have not had them for awhile but are claiming to be from Telstra one of our Internet ADSL providers. I told the first female I did not believe her .. Strong accent, she passed me onto her supervisor, another woman, strong accent from the continent. I also told her I did not believe she was from Telstra, and anyway I did not have a windows machine.. She yelled at me for wasting her time! That was on my land line that has the ADSL connection.
I just waited until he answered and said he was from an technical service, then simply said hold on and put the phone down. The sucker fell for it and waited for 2 minuted before he hung up..Oooops sorry my bad.
We also received a call in London, Ontario warning of problems detected with our "Windows computer". They seemed confused at being told Windows doesn't make computers. Super SCAM. Avoid these people!
They have called twice a day for at least three days now even after reporting the number to authorities.
