received call, telling me i had a case against my name and my social security number, and my address would be used for investigation in the case against me. This is a scam. These are foreigners with heavy india or pakistanie accents. Please report them. The threaten and say they will have you arrested at your place of residence. This is a scam....dont worry, report to authorities
I got a call from these people and they left a message. I could not understand the message as it was heavily accented. I called back. I stated my name and obviously they had my number I was asked to hold while they passed the phone to someone sitting next to them. This gentleman was even more heavily accented than the one before. I asked for the name of the company. It had to be repeated 4 time. They say they are Financial Credit Unions legal department. Supposed collection agency for a payday loan company. I could not find any information about them on the web as we were talking to me. They went on to say that I had a payday loan I hadn't paid with a company called Cash USA. Never heard of them. My husband took a payday loan eons ago and was paid back on time...it wasn't with Cash USA. I found a CashNetUSA, so I asked 4 more times if he was sure of the name of the company. He said yes. I said I have never heard of it and it wasn't the one my husband used regardless. He continued and I think he was saying I owed a certain amount but they were willing to settle. I told him to send me verification of the debt and I will take care of it. They said they had sent my husband the info via email several times and he had not responded. I said send it snail mail please...he ignored this request and kept up his script of trying to get me to settle. Again I said I would not be able to do that without verification. He continued to script. I then said my husband took one payday loan a long time ago and it was not with this CAsh Usa. It was paid. However we had internet fraud on our checking account shortly after that. Someone was writing electronic checks on our account and $100's of dollars were stolen and we had to close the account. So, he needed to send the information in the mail with proof that we owed this money . I told him I would not give my information to them no matter what. He then mumbled something and hung up without another word. I tried to call back and it rang and then hung up. I called back again….same thing. Third time I called....got a busy signal and the fourth time it said the number has been disconnected. This is a scam. Looks like you must get on some list when you get a payday loan. Watch out. if you have to do a payday loan go to a store and do it. Not the internet. Beware.
I answered the the phone today and it was these same people again. I told them to stop calling and that I knew they were fruad. The conversation got heated and her proceeded to tell me he was the almighty and he decided if I lived or died. These are very bad people. They have all of my information. I have placed a fraud alert on our credit files as well as all our bank account information and filed a report with the FTC and the Dept. Of Justice Civil Department. I also made a police report with our local police department. Don't put you personal info on the internet. By the way they say they are in NY (Fluhings).
Yes - this is a scam - check out the post by "this just in" under the number 425-905-7100. I have been dealing with these crackpots for months now. Every time I think I am rid of them they begin to call back using different names and numbers - but always the same silly story - "call me back the minute you get this message - or may god help you as the situation unfolds around you" Be prepared - they will probably keep calling you - keep posting the numbers and names they use on this and other sites to keep people informed. Sometimes they put up fake posts on this site to make themselves look legitimate - however since they don't write english any better than they speak it you can spot these posts fairly easily.
